Karen Patterson Orem, M.S., LPC, MAC - Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist
A graduate of Johns Hopkins University and Virginia Tech, Ms. Orem holds an M.S. in Applied Behavioral Counseling and a B.S. in Business Administration. She holds national certification in addictions (drugs and alcohol), as well as specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Ms. Orem has extensive experience working with adults, treating individuals, couples and families who are dealing with communication issues, depression, anxiety, phobias, all types of abuse, and trauma & loss, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She has EAP management consulting and therapist experience, working on Pentagon-based contracts. She is a former NASA trainer, with an expertise in career transitions.
Sheree Levitsky, M.A., MSW, LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Provides therapeutic counseling to adults and older adults in the areas of individual, couples, and family therapy, treating client issues related to depression, anxiety, phobias, grief & loss, end-of-life, chronic illnesses, career transitions, and relationships. Ms. Levitsky holds a B.A. from Cornell University, an M.A. from The George Washington University and an MSW from George Mason University. She is a Clinical Social Worker, licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Ms. Levitsky is a former Adult & Aging Social Worker for Fairfax County's Department of Family Services, Adult Services/Adult Protective Services, where she provided community-based case management and therapeutic counseling to elderly persons, adults with disabilities and families with the goals of maintaining clients' independence in the community. As a solution-focused therapist, Ms. Levitsky's focus is on assisting clients identify their strengths and resources while learning to successfully navigate through life challenges.
